Awesome! You made it to the all about ME page!
(me & Brian at Morgan's first grade graduation with Jackson & Hallie in the back)
I decided to start this blog for a couple of reasons. To make more friends online,
to share my designs with others, & most importantly, to appreciate my kids &
who they are even more than I already do, so
I am sure that you will learn a lot of things about me that
A. You had no clue about, and
B. You probably never even wanted to know about.
But, either way, here is a glimpse
into who I am.
I am the oldest of 7 kids & therefore can be somewhat bossy.
My family used to call me Lucy from the Peanuts cartoons- I don't
know where they got that idea from- I was never that bossy!
(Thankfully Brian has toned me down a lot a little.)
I am a perfectionist! Sometime even a little OCD about getting
things done right. Perfectionism is good is to me in some ways, like on my designs,
but a pain in other areas like the way my plates are perfectly stacked in the cupboard.
I am not a chocolate girl, but LOVE candy! Everyone who knows me knows that I
ALWAYS have candy with me. I have a big sweet tooth & thankfully married a guy with
a tooth just as sweet. Brian on the other hand LOVES chocolate & loves eating
the giant Hershey bars in one sitting. He love to drink eat M&M's. Sometimes I catch him
with the bag opened while he pours them in his open mouth. Is this drinking or eating I wonder?
I never graduated from college & always regretted it. So, instead, I have filled my mind
with as much learning as I can find on the internet. I have taught myself everything I know
with designing & continue to learn. I honestly believe that knowledge is power, and
whatever we learn will always stay with us & will turn into wisdom.
(I think I am going to be a very wise old woman) :)
I am a believer! I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World.
I love Him, and I try to teach my children daily about Him & His perfect life.
I am a dreamer. I am a thinker. I am a hopeless romantic. I am a true friend.
I love to laugh & make other people laugh. Sometimes I think I am so funny & I laugh
even more. I am a chatterbox & outgoing (but used to be painfully shy).
I love to make friends, talk, cook, read, design, & more than anything, I love
to be with Brian & our sweet kids.
So, if you have read enough, and don't want to read anymore,
Thanks for stopping by!
If you want to read more about my adorable family-
here they are...
I am a Mom to 4 of the sweetest kids on earth. They
are SO patient with me as I try to figure out this whole Mom thing.
Each one of them are blessed with gifts to teach me & help
me in this life as a Mom.
Here is my best description of each of them
Morgan (7) is my joy. The first one to make me a Mama.
The first one I get to experience everything with- baby giggles, teething,
toilet training, biting, laughing, wonders, school, loosing teeth, dating
(someday), driving, etc... All of life's first joys of having children have come
with Morgan. She is so much like me at times it scares me & I love it too.
Jackson (6) is my laughter. That kid can ALWAYS make me laugh.
He says the funniest things to everyone he talks to. He can make a best
friend anywhere he goes. He is also always the first one to come and
give me a hug on a bad day, or a day when I'm not feeling myself.
I never dreamed a boy would be so much fun.
Hallie (3 1/2) is my little love bug. She is so full of love!
Almost daily she says to me, "Mommy, You are so beautiful! I just love you!"
Everyone needs a Hallie! Hallie loves everyone and anyone she sees.
She shares so much love & has the best dance moves I have ever seen!
She can move her little hips to any song & loves to be a princess.
Landon (20) months is my peaceful little man. Anytime I feel stressed
out or nervous, I can give him a hug and I instantly feel at peace.
He is so calm (other than when his siblings are teasing him- we're going through
a screaming phase right now) but for the most part he is very patient & loves to
give his Mama & Dada hugs. And, I LOVE his blonde hair!
and of course, last, but not least-
Brian (cute) is my strength! He believes in me, he encourages me, and he has
faith in me. I can lean on him anytime and often times I feel like a damsel in distress
when he is not around because of how much I need him. He is my best friend
& the man I get to be with forever.
So, now you know about me & my family. We are not perfect,
and definitely have our moments when we are breathing too much
of each other's air, but we love each other & love being together-
and that is what matters most in life.
Thanks for reading! Melissa ;)
