Wisdom Wednesday- Integrity

Integrity...Pass it On
Integrity::  1. The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
2. The state of being whole and undivided

This quote has been on my mind A LOT lately.
(from HERE)
It would be pretty easy for me to be dishonest, especially
when I am the only one who knows what I do on the computer
& for those I work with and for.  However, I feel so much
peace when I do the right thing & I don't have that heavy feeling of guilt.

This story was shared with us by another leader in our church class on Sunday.
This was her story, "When my husband and I were a newly married young couple,
we were really struggling to make ends meet.  My husband went on a business trip and
was in the Dallas Airport when he noticed a old beat up wallet on the ground.
He picked it up, looked inside and saw $2000 inside, with no identification!
The only other thing in the wallet, were a couple of business cards from various
places.  My husband started contacting the people on the business cards to see if anyone
had called looking for something they had lost.  Eventually the person with the
missing wallet was located and we returned the money.  He said,  'When I knew
my wallet was lost, I never thought I would see that money again.  That was the money I
needed for my business stay & all my food & transportation. I thought it was lost for good.'"

What a story! I am sure we all have those times when it would be so easy to be dishonest.
Last night at a church activity, I read this quote,
"Being honest requires courage and commitment to do what you know is right."
Let's go forward with Integrity!
